United Contractors Midwest (UCM) completed pouring the northwest island sidewalk today (May 25th). Work on the storm sewer installation in the northeast quadrant will be completed on Friday (May 26). North Randolph Street and the outer circle of the east side of the Square will reopen Friday afternoon (May 26th). The inner circle of the north side of the Square will be closed tomorrow (May 26th) to install conduit and a storm sewer leading into the north side of the courthouse lawn. All streets will reopen by the end of the work day on Friday (May 26th). Tuesday (May 30) and Wednesday (May 31), weather permitting, a portion of North Lafayette Street will be closed from the northwest corner of the Square (next to Carey Calculations) to East Carroll Street, while crews install a storm sewer in that section. The storm sewer work will be completed in the northwest quadrant on Friday (June 2nd). While working in the northwest quadrant, contractors will also be working on putting in ADA compliant ramps in the northeast quadrant.
