McDonough County Public Transportation (MCPT) would like to remind all passengers of Go West and Demand Response that face coverings are required when riding public transportation. If you do not have a mask when boarding, our driver will have a mask available for you. For the safety of our drivers and passengers, all passengers will be required to have their mask on before the bus can leave a stop.
If you have a medical exemption with documentation from a licensed provider stating that you are unable to wear a mask, MCPT will provide you with an ID card. This ID card will be used to show your exemption status to MCPT drivers. Please contact the Transit Director, Miranda Lambert, at (309) 837-7433 to receive an ID card. We are asking all riders with a mask exemption to obtain an ID card by November 22, 2021. After that date, if you do not have an ID card stating an exemption, you will be required to wear a mask. If you refuse to wear a mask on public transportation, for the safety of our drivers and passengers, you will be unable to ride.
We appreciate your continued cooperation as we work to provide you with safe and reliable transportation. Please feel free to contact the Transit Director with any questions or concerns.
