After hosting public design workshops, gathering public input from over 400 citizens, and holding two open houses, the City of Macomb, in partnership with Farnsworth Group, has completed a master plan for Chandler Park.

The beloved park, situated at the heart of Macomb, is a place where history, community, and nature come together. The park first opened in 1879 after being generously donated by C.V. Chandler to the City of Macomb. Over a century later, the park continues to be a gathering location for community groups, events, and attractions.

To ensure that the park can be used for future generations, the City has undertaken the development of a master plan in accordance with what citizens would like in the park, granting them the opportunity to offer suggestions for what the park will look like moving forward. This plan will allow the city to apply for grants that help finance the construction of these enhancements.
