The Macomb Police Department conducts our Citizen's Police Academy int eh Fall of every year. The 10-week program meets once a week and exposes participants to many aspects of law enforcement. As of 2018, we have held 6 CPA classes with a total of 98 people graduating.

Participants spend time learning about many areas of the department including, but not limited to, the use of force, criminal law, evidence and criminal cases, as well as the department's Strategic Response Team, K9 and Field Training Programs. Participants also gain a unique inside look at MPD facilities, equipment and get to meet the officers that keep the community safe.
